Marc-Louis Gani - Architect in Bristol
Marc-Louis Gani was born in Nottingham and had an informal apprenticeship as a result of accompanying his father on to building sites and helping out in the family firm from the age of 14. Educated at Cambridge University (Pembroke 1995-8) and Oxford Brookes (1999-01) he then spent time in the States and in Paris, before settling in Bristol where he worked for various practices including Ferguson Mann architects. At this last practice, he was project architect for a £2.1M seven-storey mixed-use development and no.2 on a £16.9M project.
Eventually he was recruited by Westmark Developments (the residential development arm of the equity behind River Island) to be a development project manager. The recession ended this and he has now set up his own practice specialising in residential and commercial design as well as small works contracting.
Amongst others, Marc works with: APS Project Management, Aztech Building Services, BBS Building Inspectors, Energy Calculations (SAP and EPCs), Fowlstone Flooring, Greenland Carpentry, Hambleton Partnership Structural Engineers, Harvey and Snowdon Structural Engineers, Hartnell Taylor Cook Chartered Surveyors, Intu Interiors suppliers and design, Northcroft cost consultants, Pyramid Construction, Reynolds Collcutt joinery, ROSCO sanitaryware suppliers, Simple Simon Interior Design, Viimi business development.
Marc is chartered by the Royal Institute of British Architects, registered with the Architect's Registration Board (the government body regulating architects) and fully insured.
